Description
The Great Burger is perhaps one of the more well known hamburger shops in Tokyo. The inside is decorated with trinkets and souvenirs of Americana, from old advertisements to cereal boxes, which certainly gives a sense of occasion to every visit.
The hamburgers (from around 900 yen) are well put together and always satisfying. The deep brown bun is soft, not doughy, and the meat is never a disappointment. They prepare the hamburgers with enough condiments (mayo, relish, etc. in reasonable proportions) that halfway through the juices always seem to mix together in just the right way. Hamburgers come with a small portion of potato wedges, which is either just right or far too little depending on your mood. They also give you the option of substituting a lamb patty for an extra 150 yen.
There is a fridge with a range of bottled beers including their own (brewed by Kiuchi Brewery of Hitachino Nest fame, I believe) as well as Heineken on tap.
